I wanted to design a couple of different characters, put them in the exact same scenery and see what happens to the overall image. After 2 or 3 sketches I decided to draw family portraits of some sort and created 12 of those. Moritz Gottwald took the images as inspiration and wrote a poem, imaginary quotes, for each character and turned the whole set into a calendar. So if you meet one character per month … after a year you probably know that you should not get to close to „the family“.
